Healthy and quick breakfast idea- Chickpea spread on toast

We made these chickpea spread on toast in less than 20 minutes, and this was one of the most filling and tasty breakfasts we’ve had in a while. And this one’s for all of us who have rushed mornings and still want to eat healthy. 



Serves: 4 people

Ingredients:

White chickpeas: 150 gm

Tomato- 2 (1 big, 1 small)- 150g

Cucumber- 1 big- 240g

Onion-1 medium- 69g

Garlic- 2 small pcs

Red chilli powder- 1-1.5 tsp

Cumin powder- 1 tsp

Oil- 2 tsp 

Salt- to taste 

Protein Chef bread- 10 slices



Method:

1. Soak chickpeas overnight, boil them and keep it separately.

2.Heat a pan, add 1 tsp oil, add chopped garlic, sauté well.

3. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 mins.

4. Now, add salt, red chilli powder and cook for another 2 mins and switch off the stove. Let it cool.

5. Add sautéed tomatoes to a mixer jar, grind well.

6. Now, add boiled chickpeas and grind again. Add some water to grind to a smooth consistency.

7. Apply this chickpea spread over bread toast.

8. Top with chopped onions and serve with cucumber slices. Enjoy! 😋
