Hello,
We are back with another recipe using mangoes. We often make overnight oats at our home. We usually use bananas or dates as a fruit, and wanted to try it with mangoes for a change since they were available. Glad we tried it, it turned out so yummy.
Here's another version of overnight oats we made with apple, check it here if you are interested.
And, we also tried mango shikran poli a few weeks ago, check it out here if you are looking for a new and interesting dish.
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Mango (peeled & chopped)- 2 medium sized
Oats- 10 tbsp
Chia seeds- 4 tbsp
Cashew nuts, roasted- 28 no. (7 no. per serving)
Milk- 400 ml (100 ml milk per serving)
Pista badam plant protein powder (from The Whole Truth) - 1/3 scoop per serving/person
Unflavoured pea protein powder - 1/3 scoop per serving/person
Sugar- 4 tsp (optional)
Method:
- Add 2.5 tbsp oats and 1 tbsp chia seeds each in 4 bowls. Add water (just enough to soak them), mix well; cover the bowls and let it sit overnight.
- In the morning, add protein powder, 1 tsp sugar to each bowl and mix well.
- Now add milk and mix well.
- Divide the chopped mangoes into 4 parts and add them to all the bowls. Mix well.
- Crush cashews slightly. Add them to the oats mixture, give it a stir. And, enjoy! 😋🍴
Notes:
- The variety of mango we used had a mild tangy taste here and there, so we added sugar to balance it. If your mango variety is sweet enough on its own, you can skip sugar.
- We have used protein powder, but you can choose to either skip it or add vanilla flavored protein powder instead. Get creative with what you have.
